Need Link/how to Check and Clear Check Engine Codes for 2004 Max

Got check engine light on and car driving in limp (5th gear only) can't find link/how to to check and clear codes. On my cell and searching not easy, someone please help! Pretty sure its my other cam sensor (changed 1 b4) but hoping to clear codes so I can at least drive home using all gears. Tx in advance

Re: Need Link/how to Check and Clear Check Engine Codes for 2004 Max

step 1. drive to your nearest Autozone
step 2. park near the entrance.
step 3. ask the sales guy inside to get the scanner and get your codes read. you will get a printout.
step 4. drive home, park near your house.
step 5. disconnect positive battery cable for 3-6 hours.
step 6. connect the positive battery cable = codes are reset.

the only $$ associated with this procedure is the fuel cost.

Thanx, but I was hoping to clear codes to hopefully be able to drive home not in limp mode (only 5th gear). It was the camshaft position sensor (again) guess the chepo I bought online was only good for 2 years, had to buy one from autozone as to not wait for shipping etc. Fyi for those that actually want to check/ clear codes here's the link (took me forever on this phone to find) http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/ecu.asp
