Re: Any Recomended Tranmission Rebuild Spots?
all 04 maximas have bad tranny, very bad car to purchase. level ten is probably wayout of your league, i payed 6 thousand dollars for my level ten, and you probably only paid 2 grand for the car. junk it and buy something else trust me.

Yes I did it was built for 600 hp. And you will spend just as much once you actually purchase it and have it installed. The tranny is bad even if you rebuild it. It will fail again and the sad part is you can't even get one used cause they all bad

I think it's just something with the design because it is a class action lawsuit at this point. I know red heat had his fully built and it still failed. 1500 ain't bad if it lasts long enough

Re: Any Recomended Tranmission Rebuild Spots?
1,500 for a rebuild is not bad at all! if i recall, i though red heat never rebuilt the tranny and it ran boosted on the stock one, because on the Fs thread he said all you have to do is level 10 it and its good to go.

I think or am pretty positive he built the first one. Maybe he'll chime in and give some advice. All I know is my boy was head mech at Nissan and the horror stories behind that tranny weed crazy

thats where they get you, my prices for the part ran me about 2,500, and by the time i sent it to them and they sent it back i was up to 6 grand, lol. they start telling you if you dont replace this,it will fail and void warranty etc. just having to open up the tranny is bucks, let alone changing parts.

yeh thats why chernmax went with a different company and it still cost him i believe. but i do say that tranny lasted me forever never gave me a problem though, just turned out to cost way more than they stated. a 6 speed swap is the only alternative i think.
