Codes after Engine Rebuild

I just recently rebuilt (top half) the motor in my 2002 max. Replaced the valve seals and all gaskets and dropped it back in. Upon starting the car (SUCCESS!!!) it threw 4 codes:

P0102
P0113
P0011
P0021

Car feels fine, very responsive and shifts smoothly (automatic) except for a minor rough idle only when car is in gear, not in park.

I unplugged the battery for 3 hours and checked all my sensors to make sure they were connected properly. Hoping the codes would drop after reconnecting battery, i started the car and codes were still there. I drove the car making 4 total trips to see if the ecu just needed to re-situate itself but still has the codes.

all the searches ive done have given me possible causes but i was really just hoping codes would clear after driving it for a bit.

any advice or knowledge of these codes after a rebuild?

Re: Codes after Engine Rebuild

P0102 - mass air flow sensor circuit low input

P0113 - intake air temperature sensor circuit high input

P0011 - IVT Control (Bank 1)

P0021 - IVT Control (Bank 2)

Re: Codes after Engine Rebuild

you plug everything back in right?

it sounds like there's a slight vacuum leak...rough idle.

Re: Codes after Engine Rebuild

Iat and maf are same unit, could be a defective maf.

for the other 2 clear the light and drive it again to see if they come back. Lack of oil pressure sometimes causes them to come up. Can also be your cam pos. sensors.

Re: Codes after Engine Rebuild

P0011
P0021

these are the codes to the cam sensors (in the heads)
they tend to go bad with higher mileage.. (might be time to replace them)

Re: Codes after Engine Rebuild

check grounds on both heads that lead off harness from when it makes the turn over the firewall forward. P0011, P0021 are the VTC solenoids that are on top of the heads that control oil flow to VTC sprockets for intake side cam on both banks. If you have a CAI such as Injen check that ground wire from the MAF on the harness side, and yellow /black wire for IAT, have seen it stretch and wires break inside. I've encountered codes like this before, if your engine oil was caked up in the head, especially the rear head aka Bank 1 more than likely you have clumps of sludge oil in the VTC solenoids.
