New Exhaust Items
I just bought a new Exahust system for my 5th gen 2k<fed spec>, I got a new Free flow cat and a N1 style stainless cat back, I will be keeping the origanal oem stuff down to the mid cat, Do you think i will notice any difference or do you think i will loose low end torque ?
I got one part of the system today, I am waiting on the catback, Here is a pic of the free flow converter. I will post the rest of the system when i receive it before i install it, Also ill provide a video of the sound.

Re: New Exhaust Items
that freeflow convertor is just a resonator, not even smog legal. Every maxima benefits from a catback as the stock system is so restrictive. Better mileage and better acceleration, with the drawback of being somewhat bass-y low tones. Prepare for some drone at cruising speeds.

Re: New Exhaust Items
Like everything except for the axleback. You should get a different one later on.
Great progress!

Re: New Exhaust Items
All Installed, Had some issues, Direct bolt on my ass haha, The new system deletes that little step down piece with the oxygen sensor in it, also i had to keep the oem cat because the aftermarket one is to long and i cant get the rear pipe around the gas tank with it, but its all installed now, ill be welding in a bung later for the O2 sensor, so as of now the sensor is zip tied under the car lol, did not throw a code for a good 2 hours of driving , but it did come on.
This part.

Re: New Exhaust Items
That part is really restrictive on the stock exhaust, I hope you didnt reuse it. Do you feel any power increase?

Re: New Exhaust Items
Did not reuse it, welding a bung on the pipe for the O2 sensor, it feels more peppy. has a nice growl

Of course it has rust in it, Came over sea's on a boat lol.
Its no big deal, i cannot use it anyway, the catback system is to long and deletes that little section with the O2 sensor and that new one i posted is to long to use. so its a paper weight now.
