Test for you, since you're advancing your IT career. Get the IP address of the site and do a WHOIS lookup via ARIN. Let me know what you find out :-).

Re: Lets see your Maximas
Very good. More than one way to skin this cat. If you didn't want to wait on DNS/name resolution, do "tracert -d."
Second question now. If none of the IPs had a DNS "A" record, how would you have found out?
What if I just gave you 206.225.86.233 and there was no DNS record for that, how would you find out who is authoritative for that IP block?

What if NSLOOKUP just returned an IP address? No DNS A record. How would you find out where the IP was registered?

Cant do it on my laptop cause I dont have that feature or service available, but I would use nblookup which is part of the WINS. Which it will allow me to query the DNS if nslookup wasnt available. Hope I'm saying it right,

Ok, you got it right up to a certain point but it wasn't the correct answer. If you just have an IP address, you will want to query the ARIN WHOIS (for US) or RIPE WHOIS databases (for Europe).
https://whois.arin.net/ui/
Top right of the page, enter in an IP address and click search.
