Brakes

I need confirmation. I have a 2002 Max and my brakes are horrible. Now I noticed that some of u have used the brake setup from the 6th Gen Max so I would like to give it a try. What I would like to confirm is are the 6th Gen Max SS brake lines, brake calipers, rotors and calipers brackets plug and play for the front and rear on a 2002 maxima? Reason I ask is because some have said it fits like a glove and others said no.

Re: Brakes

They are plug and play for you and (little modification on 4th gens). You can use 5th gen brake lines if you want, they all fit. Im not sure if you will need the bolts that hold the caliper brackets to the knuckles or not, you should get 4 from nissan just to be sure though. The 4th gen bolts were completely different. Stock 02 rims clear the 6th gen brakes.

Is the stopping power a big difference from the 02 setup?

Re: Brakes

as 6th gens have bigger diameter opposing to 5.5 gen 11.63" - 12.6" for 6th gen it will bring you better stopping performance and feel
