Help with catback exhaust sound

Guys,

I had a full catback exhaust installed about 2 months ago on my 07 Max with CVT, in addition to an already installed y-pipe. When I first had this installed, the drone was unbearable. Then the exhaust tone changed and was very tolerable for a while. Now the tone/drone of the exhaust changes daily, and sometimes even within my 45 daily commute. At first I thought I was crazy, but this happens daily now. It goes from unbearable to managable, and most times it is at the louder level. Most times I have to switch to tiptronic so I can drive in 5th gear at a higher RPM because it's so loud. When it's loud, it sounds like there is an exhaust leak somewhere. I put the car up on jackstands tonight and checked everything, and found no leaks anywhere. Can anyone provide any insight on what may be causing this, as I need to get this fixed ASAP. When it's quiet it sounds great, but that is the exception lately. On a related note, should my stainless mufflers be rusting as in the below pictures after 2 months, as I'm starting to think I might have bought an inferior product. Sorry if pictures are screwed up it's my first time posting pics. Please help. Thanks.

Mods can you delete this thread? I spoke with Brian at Cattman and he has agreed to refund the purchase price of my mufflers due to the rust issue. Problem will be taken care of. Thanks.

It was determined that the mufflers were defective, and they are fabricating new ones, which will hopefully solve the drone problem that the old one's had. I will keep you guys updated after I receive and install the new ones.
