Emissions Inspection

Anyone know where I can get an inspection without having to actually get it inspected ? I have no check engine light on and I've taken my car to 2 places and both keep saying the car isn't "ready" if anyone can help I greatly appreciate it

keep driving until it's ready.

you can't just clear the light and expect to get your car to pass inspection. the system is a little smarter than that.

You need to keep driving, that's all it means, your emission monitors aren't ready, did u fix a sensor recently or just reset the light thinking you will pass?

yea like others have said already, you are going to have to drive the car fora certain amount of miles in order for the monitors to reset. either the battery was changed, or check engine light was on and someone cleared it or something.

also great idea to post the location of this shop involved in illegal activity.

you can also go to all out motorworks on main st in hemostead and get what needs to be fixed done lol $120 for a sticker every year?!

Oh well. I could only do the little things on my car. I had a major exhaust leak on the rear not to mention I had a misfire which I change the coilpack a week later. Car been sitting in the driveway for 2 years. Not to mention I have to change the harness on my knock sensor.

you don't know what you're doing and you're just changing parts in the hopes that you'll fix the code?

since you couldn't figure it out and couldn't get the code to go away you took the easy way and paid extra for an inspection sticker for a car that you haven't driven for the last 2 years that's parked in the driveway?

how about a SMART suggestion?
get rid of the car...sell it, junk it, donate it.
you don't have to spend money on fixing it...you don't drive it anyway and it's just sitting there rotting away while you pay for tags and insurance.

I have a diagnostic tool. I've already fix the issue last month. I don't need nobody on here putting there 2cents in to make some point because they feel I don't know what I'm doing.

And lance, maxfever helped me out and told me which shop to go to when I installed my ypipe repaired my exhaust pipe. And he negotiated the deal for me. So no worries. It was lower than I thought.

Oh and for the last damn time my car is registered with plates and liability insurance. Do I have to post a pic of my car with plates so you can stop having your cycle of bleeding heavily in your vagina. Smh

i hope that not referring to me...but keeping a car registered and insured for something that you haven't driven in the last 2 year (you said it not me) is just throwing money out the window...but since you're on that management track at work i guess you can be a baller and throw money away.

so my point is to stop keeping plates on it if you're not going to drive it. you'll save on insurance and reg.
